How to Connect Your Tablet to the PerPlant Sensor

Purpose: Help the user establish a connection for the first time or after a restart.

Step-by-step guide:

 

  1. Turn on the sensor: Make sure the sensor has power and that the indicator lights are on.

  2. Find Wi-Fi: Open the Wi-Fi settings on your tablet. Find the network named something like “PerPlant_InsightXX” (for example, PerPlant_Insight11).

  3. Connect: Select the network. Note that this is a local network, so your tablet may say “No internet connection” – this is completely normal.

  4. Open the app: Open your internet browser (for example, Chrome or Safari) and type the following into the address bar: 10.42.0.1.

 

 

 

Troubleshooting:

 

  • Can’t see the network? Try restarting both the tractor and the sensor, or move the tablet closer to the sensor.

  • Do you see “502 Bad Gateway”? This simply means the sensor software is still starting up. Wait a moment and refresh the page.
