Understanding How Hotspot/Wi-Fi/Internet Works When Using the Sensor

Problem 1: “Bad Gateway” (502)

Cause: The sensor software has not finished starting up.

Solution: Wait 1–2 minutes after powering on. Refresh the page in your browser.

 

Problem 2: Pop-up “No Internet Connection”

Cause: Your tablet warns that the PerPlant Wi-Fi does not have access to Google/the internet.

Solution: This is not an error. Maps and software are stored locally on the sensor. You can ignore the warning and continue working.

When do you need the internet? Only if you want to download new satellite maps or use RTK corrections.
